Three teens charged with Downtown attack on visiting Vancouver Island man

Three teens have been charged with an assault on a visiting Vancouver Island man.

A 29-year-old man visiting Vancouver for the weekend was walking near Seymour and Dunsmuir Street around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday (Feb. 4) when he was assaulted by a group of strangers.

VPD officers patrolling nearby arrested three teens who were allegedly knocking over planters and kicking doors in connection with the incident and the youth now face criminal charges.

The suspects are two 15- and 17-year-old boys from Abbotsford, and an 18-year-old man from Langley.

The victim sustained serious injuries that required medical attention and the teens have each been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
