TikTok star takes shot at Vancouver police's social media videos

Is he being too harsh?

An American stand-up comedian and TikTok star has taken a shot at the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) for an unusual reason.

Trevor Wallace shared a video calling out the VPD's TikTok video editing earlier this week.

"Who the hell is editing the Vancouver police TikTok?" he says. "Dude, that's f***ing hard!!"

In the duet with a VPD video about the Breakout Festival riot he calls out the frenetic look of the clip. Wallace's clip has been seen nearly a million times, has gotten more than 131,000 likes, and is getting attention from other internet celebrities like Yung Gravy and Kresnt.

"What is this, Cole Bennett? Did someone get let go from the Mr. Beast team?" he asked.

The VPD video Wallace is taking shots at is from Nov. 25 and highlights suspects being sought after the Breakout Festival riot when headliner Lil Baby didn't play. The editing in the video caught the eye of people well before Wallace's video.

"The edits have no business being this hard bro," wrote one person, which has 19,000 likes itself.

"Editor needs a raise," says another.

"VPD social manager know what's up lowkey," writes someone else.

There's also been an influx of new comments due to Wallace's video, referencing his comments. It's also become one of the VPD's most-watched clips.

So far the VPD's campaign to identify suspects caught on video during the riot has meant 12 of the 25 have been identified. No charges have been laid yet.
