Tiny solarium with stunning view listed for $1000/month in Downtown Vancouver

The view is spectacular, but the room might be too small for some

As Vancouverites search for affordable rent, the trend of tiny solariums hitting the market as bedrooms continues.

In this case, it's a room so small the bed appears to get in the way of the door.

The Facebook Marketplace ad advertises the tiny space as a "furnished private solarium" in the city's downtown with "spectacular views" for $1,000 per month.

Whoever rents the room will likely get to appreciate the views a lot. The solarium is located next to the deck and appears to have windows on three sides.

From one direction it looks out over the city (including False Creek and Science World), in another direction it looks directly at the deck, and the third wall of windows looks out over the inside of the apartment.

The fourth wall is the only one not made of glass, so it's the least likely to break. It also has a clock, which rounds out the furniture in the room (along with a light and a bed).

The location is a big reason for the cost and likely a factor for the person who decides to go for it, given that it’s located near Costco in Downtown Vancouver, not far from BC Place and Rogers Arena.
