TransLink is reminding customers that on July 1 fares will see increases ranging from 5 cents for a single-use ticket to $4.05 for a three-zone monthly pass.

All Metro Vancouver transit fares will increase by 2.3%.

  • Single-use adult and concession fare increase will range from $0.05 to $0.20.
  • DayPass fare increase will range from $0.20 to $0.25.
  • Fares for 1, 2 and 3 Zone monthly pass fare increase will range from $2.25 to $4.05.

“As always, customers can save more by using Compass Card Stored Value,” TransLink said in a news release. “Even with these increases, Metro Vancouver continues to have the lowest average multi-mode adult cash fares of all major Canadian cities.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TransLink cancelled the 2020 annual fare change. The 2021 fare change is less than originally planned thanks to support from the BC Safe Restart Agreement.
