'Unknown assailant' threatens man with 8 inch knife in Downtown Vancouver: VPD

The 27-year-old victim parked his car and then the unknown male brandished a knife.

A man threatened another man with a knife in downtown Vancouver on Friday (Jan.28) afternoon, say Vancouver police. 

Just after 3 p.m. Friday, the VPD received reports of a man who had brandished a knife at another man near Granville Street, Cnst. Tania Visintin tells Vancouver Is Awesome.

"Thankfully, no one was injured," she said. 

In a tweet, the VPD stated that the 27-year-old victim had parked his car near Granville and Davie streets when "the unknown assailant brandished an 8" knife, then ran off."

Vistintin added that the suspect was not located and the incident is under investigation.
