Yagger's Kitsilano is closing its doors after 11 years due to rising costs of goods, labour, and rent.

After over a decade, one popular Vancouver pub is closing its doors.

Yagger's Kitsilano has shared its "ultimate and very difficult decision" on social media on September 2, adding that the pub will close after its last day open on September 18.

The reason for this decision was "the significant rising prices of goods, labour and rent have made it untenable," says the pub's Facebook post.

The Kitsilano pub has been situated in the neighbourhood for 11 years and has been a go-to for celebrations and live sports in the city, the post adds. The owners recalled cheering for sports teams, singing at karaoke nights, laughing at live comedy and the weekly trivia nights as they said goodbye.

Along with sweet memories came feelings of gratitude.

"From the very bottom of our hearts, we are so very eternally grateful to everyone who believed in us from the start," the owners shared.

"This is not the end; this is merely the closing of an epic chapter."
