Video of a dramatic takedown in Vancouver has been making the rounds on social media.
The incident took place last Friday (Nov. 4) on Kingsway near Rupert Street and was one of two arrests made in Vancouver connected to a Delta drug investigation.
Over the course of Thursday and Friday, the Delta Police Department's Drug Investigative Support Team (DIST) raided residences and found evidence of a drug trafficking operation. They seized drugs, cash, and firearms.
The video in Vancouver is footage of the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team carrying out a coordinated arrest of one of the North Delta suspects in the investigation.
Delta police confirmed that the arrest was part of an organized response between law enforcement agencies and connected to the ongoing B.C. gang conflict.
Currently, investigators are preparing charge recommendations for Crown counsel.
