Video: Vancouver police release footage of suspect in armed robbery at Yaletown nightclub

VPD is asking the public for help identifying him.

Vancouver Police are releasing security footage and images of a man they suspect is connected to an armed robbery that occurred at a Yaletown nightclub last April in the hopes that the public will help identify him.

According to VPD two suspects entered a nightclub after hours and threatened staff with a gun and knife and stole $25,000 in cash.

They don't name the club where the incident took place but do say in a recent press release that six victims had their hands zap-strapped and were forcibly confined, one was seriously assaulted and suffered a "life-altering injury."

A number of suspects have already been identified but police say they are seeking additional evidence before charges can be recommended to Crown counsel.

They ask anyone who recognizes the man in the footage/photo to call the police or VPD’s Major Crime Section at 604-717-2541.

“We believe this man was present at the nightclub at the time of the offence and could have important information that could assist us in completing the investigation,” says VPD Constable Tania Visintin. “We want to speak with this man to find out what he knows.”
