UPDATE JAN 25, 2021, 7:21 a.m.: Mr Cheney has been found safe
Vancouver police are looking for a missing man who may be suffering from dementia.
Edward Cheney left his home near East Hastings and Main streets on Jan. 21 around 9 a.m. according to a statement released by the Vancouver Police Department today (Jan. 24).
He hasn't been since.
Additionally, there are concerns the 58-year-old man is suffering from dementia. This disappearance is atypical for him and outreach workers are worried.
Wherever he is, he's likely walking. Police request anyone who locates him to stay with him and call 911.
Cheney is described as:
- Caucasian
- 6'1"
- Medium build
- Blue eyes
- Grey hair
He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, black track pants and a grey ball cap.
