Just in time for Valentine's Day, Vancouver has climbed back into the top 10 of the sexiest cities in Canada.
Each year, PinkCherry, an online store for adult novelty, intimacy, and lingerie products, releases a ranking of the cities that purchased the highest number of sex toys and pleasurable products.
While Vancouver ranked second in Canada in 2021, it dropped out of the top 10 in 2022. This year, the city made it back onto to the list, ranking 8th overall; it also earned the title of the "Most Cuffed Up City," buying the most handcuffs and restraints of any city in the country.
Vancouverties also spent the most time building sex rooms, making them the "Dominant Designer City," which purchased the most sex furniture, including position pillows, sheets, and benches, according to the company.
Calgary ranked at the top of the list and was also named the "Most Self-Obsessed City,' since it had the most "Clone-a-Willy kits," including the ones that glow in the dark.
Edmonton rounded out the top three, with Winnipeg coming in fourth. Ottawa landed in the fifth spot, while London, Ont. came sixth. Ontario's largest city, Toronto, followed in seventh, with the report's authors joking that it was "the most prepared going into the Year of the Rabbit," with Torontonians purchasing more than double the "rabbit" vibrators than any other city.
Toronto was also named the "Most Romantic City," as its residents purchased the highest number of shareable sex toys.
Another B.C. city, Surrey, came ninth, with a third city in Ontario, Hamilton, placing tenth.
