Photos of the top 10 (so far) suspects who participated in the Sept. 18 incident at the PNE during the Breakout Festival were released by VPD in hopes of identifying them.

Vancouver Police say they have identified two suspects from the notorious Breakout Festival riot at the PNE that caused upwards of $300,000 in damages.

On Sept. 18, hundreds of fans resorted to violence and vandalism in the amphitheatre and PNE Grounds after they were told the festival's headliner, rapper Lil Baby, was deemed too ill to perform.

While several people were arrested during the riot, police sent out a list of the top 10 suspects from the riot earlier this week, over a month after the event.

On Friday, police announced that they have identified two suspects and investigators are going through hundreds of tips. They expect to identify further suspects soon.

"If you are one of the suspects on this poster, now is the time to come forward," wrote the VPD in a tweet.

Vancouver police have launched a website dedicated just to the Breakout Festival riot, with multiple pictures of the top 10 and a place to submit tips. Tips can be anonymous.

"They'll be neighbours, they'll be classmates, friends, ex-friends, ex-boyfriends, and whatnot," says Inspector David Weidman.

While the police are releasing images of 10, he notes police are looking into "dozens" of suspects.

Punishment for the charges will depend on the individual's criminal history. Weidman is hoping people will come forward, as well, to be held accountable for their actions.

Police haven't charged anyone in relation to the riot yet.

The VPD also has a tip line at 604-717-4021 for any information about this incident.
