Environment Canada calls for a change in the Metro Vancouver weather forecast on August 10, 2022.

Hoping to enjoy a stroll by the beach later tonight?

You might want to rethink that plan.

The Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes a chance of wet weather throughout the day as well as a chance of thunderstorms at night on Wednesday (Aug. 10).

In its previous forecast, Environment Canada was only calling for the possibility of showers, but now the prediction includes a risk of thunderstorms in the evening, too. That said, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 23 C that will feel more like 28 C with humidity.

Tuesday's forecast also includes some wet weather, with a 30 per cent chance of periods of drizzle during the day. Skies are expected to clear overnight, however.

Folks looking to soak in some sun rays should have an opportunity on Friday, as the national weather forecaster calls for clear skies and a high of 24 C during the day.

The possibility of wet weather returns Saturday, but Sunday looks sunny with clear skies.

Heading into next week, Monday's forecast includes a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 24 C with a high of 25 C on Tuesday.
