Holiday revelers hoping to stay cool over the long weekend will want to stay inside an air-conditioned area during the hottest parts of the day.
While Environment Canada hasn't issued a heat warning, temperatures are expected to steadily climb through the weekend.
Starting on Tuesday, June 27, the national weather forecaster calls for mainly sunshine and a high of 22 C on the coast and 25 C inland. With humidity, these temperatures will feel more like 25 C and 28 C, respectively.
Temperatures are expected to remain steady through Wednesday, although Thursday's forecast includes slightly warmer temperatures, with a high of 23 C on the coast and 27 C inland. Friday and Saturday are expected to see similar temperatures, too.
On Sunday, however, locals will start to see a shift to hotter weather, as coastal temperatures climb to 25 C and inland soar to 30 C. Monday's forecast includes sizzling temperatures, with a high of 27 C on the coast and 32 C inland.
Overnight lows aren't expected to dip below the mid-teens throughout the week.
