Vancouverites hoping to get a golden tan will likely have some opportunities heading into this weekend.
Despite a gloomy, wet start to the week, Environment Canada's Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes a shift to sunshine starting Thursday, June 22 with temperatures increasing slowly through the weekend.
Starting on Monday, however, the forecast includes periods of rain with a high of 15 C during the day. More rain is expected overnight with temperatures dipping down to 11 C.
Heading into Tuesday, periods of rain are expected to continue through the day with a high of 17 C and a 60 per cent chance of showers overnight. Wednesday's forecast includes a 40 per cent chance of showers during the day with skies clearing overnight.
Thursday marks a shift to summery weather, with a high of 22 C and bright sunshine expected. Friday's forecast looks even warmer, with a high of 23 C expected during the day and cloudy periods overnight with a low of 13 C.
Saturday's forecast includes a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 23 C while Sunday looks like it will be slightly warmer, with a high of 24 C.
