While the luck of the Irish will keep the sun shining in Metro Vancouver heading into the weekend, rain is expected to start falling by Sunday night.
Starting on Friday, March 17, Environment Canada calls for mainly sunshine and a double-digit high of 11 C on the coast and 14 C inland. The overnight forecast includes mainly cloudy periods and a low of 5 C.
On Saturday, temperatures are expected to climb to 14 C on the coast and 17 C inland, with clearing skies during the day and cloudy periods overnight. Sunday is expected to be cloudy but dry, however, the overnight forecast calls for rain.
Heading into next week, locals should keep their umbrellas on deck. Monday's forecast includes a 60 per cent chance of showers throughout the day while Tuesday's forecast includes a 60 per cent chance of showers during the day and cloudy but dry periods overnight.
Wednesday may also see some precipitation during the day while the evening is expected to be dry.
