If you haven't been enjoying this extended stretch of gloomy, wet weather, you are far from alone.
But the Metro Vancouver forecast calls for a decidedly sunny shift and some soaring, summery temperatures by next week.
Heading into the weekend, however, Environment Canada calls for a 70 per cent chance of showers Friday (April 21) with a high of 10 C and the possibility of more showers overnight with a low of 6 C.
On Saturday, the forecast includes a few showers during the day and rain overnight, with periods of rain expected all day on Sunday.
Next week is expected to start off with a mostly sunny bang, as Monday's forecast includes a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 12 during the day. Tuesday is also expected to see a mix of sun and cloud with temperatures climbing slightly higher to 13 C.
Wednesday is expected to warm up significantly, with temperatures climbing to 16 C, while Thursday is almost expected to reach the 20 C mark, with a high of 19 C expected along the coast.
Temperatures may even feel hotter with humidity but Environment Canada doesn't include this prediction until closer to the date.
