One lucky Vancouver woman is in a state of shock and disbelief after learning she has won a record-breaking $400,000 Keno & Keno Bonus retail prize.

Susan Jenkins bought a Quick Pick ticket at her local Hasty Market in Vancouver, drove home and looked up the numbers on the BCLC website to find out that her ticket was a winner -- matching 10 out of 10 numbers on July 20.

“The first person I called was my boyfriend, then my mom and kids,” she says in a news release. “They were all so happy for me….we were all kind of freaking out!”

Jenkins plans to use her winnings to treat herself to enjoying more of her favourite pastimes including golf, boating and travelling. She also plans to save for retirement and her children’s education.

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation says this is the largest Keno prize ever won at a retail location in the province. The largest-ever Keno prize, won online through PlayNow.com, was $500,000 on the May 15, 2013 draw.

Keno is a B.C.-only lottery game drawn every three and a half minutes. Players match up to 10 numbers from 20 numbers drawn from a field of 80 to win.
