Vancouver's Ryan Reynolds calls for donations for B.C. flood relief

"My home of BC continues to face a crisis from the brutal #BCFloods," wrote Reynolds.

Southern British Columbia's recent devastating flooding has one of Vancouver's most recognizable movie stars speaking up about helping out.

Ryan Reynolds posted to social media early Friday (Nov. 26) morning announcing a donation he and wife Blake Lively made to Red Cross Canada.

"My home of BC Flag of Canadacontinues to face a crisis from the brutal #BCFloods," wrote Reynolds. "Homes, farms, schools, roads and vulnerable communities. Rebuilding will take time."

He also shared a link to the Red Cross' donation page for B.C. flood relief.

This is far from the first time the Green Lantern star has shown his philanthropic side to Canadian causes. While he didn't write how much his donation was for, near the start of the COVID-19 pandemic Reynolds and Lively together donated $1 million to Feed America and Food Banks Canada.

The couple has also made donations of $250,000 to Covenant House Vancouver and $250,000 to Covenant House Toronto as well as $250,000 to the Influence Mentoring Society.
