The Vancouver parks board is looking to residents for ideas on the future of sports fields.

If you use a sports field run by the Vancouver parks board, they want to hear back from you.

They're putting together a new strategy to refresh the city's sports fields over the next decade and need locals feedback to help guide that process.

"We want to hear from all sport field users, whether you play casually or competitively. What do you love? What would you change? How do you imagine the fields you use in the future?" asks the board in a press release.

They're looking for pitches about soccer pitches and pitchers mounds. That covers anything from replacing existing facilities, searching for new locations, fee structures and what the fields actually look like.

A survey runs until Dec. 14 where people can share their thoughts.

"We want to hear from all sport field users, whether you play casually or competitively. With your help, we can create a shared vision for Vancouver’s sport fields that will work for everyone over the next ten years."
