Woman in hospital after stabbing inside Metro Vancouver grocery store

Police conclude that the female victim and suspect don't know each other.

A woman was taken to hospital after being stabbed inside a Surrey grocery store on June 2. Police are hoping the public can identify the suspect.

A woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed inside a Metro Vancouver grocery store.

Surrey RCMP were notified of the stabbing on June 2 at around 12:55 p.m. and arrived at the Real Canadian Superstore on the 14600-block of 104 Avenue shortly after. 

The suspect had fled the scene immediately following the incident and is described as a female in her 30's with long dark hair wearing a navy blue V-neck shirt, black pants, white shoes, and carrying a blue satchel.  

Police say the motive is unknown and are releasing photos of the suspect in hopes that the public can help identify them.
