B.C. Lions add American defensive lineman Miles Fox, release eight others

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — The B.C. Lions have signed American defensive lineman Miles Fox. The six-foot-one, 297-pound Fox comes to B.C. following three seasons at Wake Forest.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — The B.C. Lions have signed American defensive lineman Miles Fox. 

The six-foot-one, 297-pound Fox comes to B.C. following three seasons at Wake Forest. 

He missed the 2019 season with a torn Achilles then earned first-team all-ACC honours and was nominated ACC comeback player of the year in 2020. 

Hailing from Lawrenceville, Ga., Fox played 21 games for Wake Forest, tallying 31 solo tackles and 27 assisted tackles. 

The Lions have also released eight players from their roster, including wide receivers Hakeem Butler and Shelton Gibson, defensive backs Mallory Claybourne, Jordan Hoover, Austin Joyner and Howard Wilson, running back Jamel Lyles and defensive lineman Kevin Thurmon.

The team is currently holding training camp in Kamloops, B.C.
