Canadian women's wheelchair basketball team defeats El Salvador at IWBF Americas Cup

BOGOTÁ — Arinn Young scored a game-high 41 points to lead the Canadian women's wheelchair basketball team to a 93-10 rout of El Salvador at the IWBF Americas Cup on Sunday.

Elise Froese chipped in with 18 points, five assists, and three rebounds.

Canada opened the tournament Saturday with a 70-62 loss to Brazil at Coliseo Cayetano Canizarez.

Canada will wrap up group play Monday night against host Colombia.

The Americas Cup is a qualifier for the 2026 IWBF wheelchair basketball world championships.
