Homegrown centre Dan Clark signs two-year extension with Roughriders

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Canadian centre Dan Clark to a two-year contract extension. The six-foot-two, 310-pound Regina native was named a CFL all-star last season for the first time in his eight-year CFL career.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Canadian centre Dan Clark to a two-year contract extension.

The six-foot-two, 310-pound Regina native was named a CFL all-star last season for the first time in his eight-year CFL career.

Clark, 31, also was named the Roughriders' top lineman.

After overcoming injuries from a serious car accident before training camp, Clark played every game this season, including his 100th career contest on July 27 against B.C.

 

REDBLACKS INK LONG SNAPPER

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed Canadian long snapper Louis-Philippe Bourassa to a two-year contract extension.

The 28-year-old from Shawinigan, Que., has spent his entire three-year CFL career in Ottawa.

The Redblacks also signed American running back Timothy Flanders to a one-year deal.

Flanders has 19 games of CFL experience with Winnipeg and B.C. He was on the Calgary Stampeders' practice roster for part of last year.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced they have released defensive back Winston Rose so he can pursue NFL opportunities.
