FLINT, Mich. — Zack Terry put away the winner with 3:11 left to play as the Flint Firebirds downed the Saginaw Spirit 6-4 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Coulson Pitre added an insurance goal into an empty net in the final minute of play for Flint (13-10-1), while Gavin Hayes, Samuel Assinewai, Brennan Othmann and Riley Piercey also found the back of the night.
Luke Cavallin made 23 saves for the win.
Dean Loukus scored and added two assists for Saginaw (11-12-1), while Camaryn Baber, Matyas Sapovaliv and Roberto Mancini chipped in as well.
Tristan Lennox stopped 29-of-34 shots in net for the Spirit.
The Firebirds couldn't score on their five power plays and Saginaw was 1 for 4 with the man advantage.

HAMILTON — James Hardie struck twice, including the eventual winner, as Mississauga topped the Bulldogs.
Michael Stubbs and Chas Sharpe also scored for the Steelheads (16-7-2).
Logan Morrison was the lone scorer for Hamilton (15-8-4).
