Police say shooting involving multiple guns leaves three wounded in downtown Hamilton

HAMILTON — Police say an early morning shooting involving multiple guns left three people seriously injured in downtown Hamilton. Hamilton Police Service says it happened in the area of Bowen Street and Jackson Street East at around 1:50 a.m.

HAMILTON — Police say an early morning shooting involving multiple guns left three people seriously injured in downtown Hamilton.

Hamilton Police Service says it happened in the area of Bowen Street and Jackson Street East at around 1:50 a.m. Saturday.

It says all three of the injured were taken to hospital and are expected to survive.

Investigators say evidence located at the scene shows multiple firearms were used to fire a large number of rounds.

They say the crime scene covers a large area, and road closures are in effect in the area.

Police say they are aware of an event nearby when the shooting occurred, and they believe there are many witnesses who could help the investigation.

They are asking anyone with information to call or email the police.
