Police seeking murder suspect in alleged stabbing in Toronto's east end

TORONTO — Toronto police say they have identified a suspect in a fatal stabbing on Thursday night in the city's east end. Police say they responded to an altercation in the Danforth Avenue and Coxwell Avenue area between two men at about 11 p.m.

TORONTO — Toronto police say they have identified a suspect in a fatal stabbing on Thursday night in the city's east end.

Police say they responded to an altercation in the Danforth Avenue and Coxwell Avenue area between two men at about 11 p.m.

They say a 36-year old man with stab wounds was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

They allege a 24-year-old man wearing a dark-coloured hooded sweater and a black face covering was seen fleeing the area.

Police have released a photo of the suspect who is wanted for first-degree murder and say he is known to use public transit throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

They say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
