Letter: No, B.C. shouldn't start billing unvaccinated COVID-19 patients

Thoughts from a B.C. nurse
hospital-bill
Double the bill?

[In response to B.C. should start billing unvaccinated COVID-19 patients, Nov. 9, 2021]

I'm a nurse. I support vaccinations. But I have no interest in seeking financial retribution on those that end up hospitalized with COVID and are unvaccinated.

If we go that route will we also see those that come through the ER with a heart attack and a spare tire around their waist paying for it?

Maybe if you can't show us an adequate number of steps a day on your smart watch you get the lazy couch potato bill as you get discharged after your angio? Too many drinks a day....double the bill?

Door dash knows you on a first name basis? Quadruple the bill.

I guarantee you 95% of Canadians need to remember the glass house they live in and put down the stones.
