Dear Editor,

It should be clear by now that the consumption of alcohol is, and has been, a major factor in the rebellious behaviour of people during the current pandemic.

The government of the province of B.C. would be well advised to ban the sale of all alcohol for at least 60 days. This would include government liquor stores, private liquor stores, bars, restaurants, etc.

The media has very effectively exposed the excessive and unruly behaviour of those who show a total disregard for the health, safety and welfare of others.

Alcohol is not a substitute for a vaccine although there are those who think and act otherwise.

Alcohol sales are at an all-time high in B.C. and elsewhere. This will result in declining health for many. The government must reduce addiction, not stand by and let addiction increase.

Please do not let the tax revenue from the sale of alcohol cloud your thinking. It is time for the government to take a stand and do the right thing.
