The following is a letter sent to the Tri-City News.

The Editor,

I want to send a message to the Port Moody Fire Rescue: In case they lost a fire truck, I found it and want to claim the reward (kidding).

Or to thank them for their donation and to tell them the truck is loved and doing fine and working in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico.

For background: Lake Chapala is 45 minutes south of Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco and a destination for tens of thousands of North American and even European retirees (including me, a former North Vancouver resident who has lived here since 2015). It is a safe area claimed to have the best weather in the world, which is not too much of an exaggeration.
