Photos: Take a virtual tour of this 112-year-old, $6.3-million brick building on Granville Street

The building has both commercial and residential spaces, with plenty of vintage charm.

An eye-catching, historical building on one of Vancouver's most popular streets is currently for sale — but whoever buys it could tear it down.

With its rustic, brick exterior, the three-storey structure hearkens back to a time long past, particularly because it is flanked on either side by statuesque, modern properties. It really stands out.

The vintage building is located in the city's bustling entertainment district, with 25 feet of frontage on Granville Street. Built in 1910, it still has much of its "vintage charm intact," according to the real estate listing. Two of its most striking features include handmade brick walls and hardwood floors.

The three-storey, 12,000-square-foot building also has a basement and includes two commercial spaces and six apartments (two two-bedroom suites and one one-bedroom suite on the second and third floors). The basement has five bathrooms with showers and a sauna.

With 12- to 16-foot ceilings, the main level commercial space is currently rented as a gym and comes with two showers, an office and a storage mezzanine.

Listing agent Mayur Arora told Vancouver Is Awesome in a phone interview that the owner has never tried to get the building designated with heritage status despite maintaining its historical integrity for well over half a century.

The price tag on this vintage gem?

A cool $6.3 million.

The property, listed by Arora with the brokerage, is located at 1130 Granville St.
