BC Hydro and Grouse Mountain Resort announced today that The Eye Of The Wind turbine (HERE are a few posts we've made about it previously) is now officially generating electricity!
Specialized equipment to complete the electricity generation connection process was installed in late August, enabling the turbine to be connected to the BC Hydro system and it's now providing 25% of the energy used by the resort. I'm going to try and get my butt up to the top of this thing shortly. Stay tuned!
