This month, Cadillac Fairview (CF) is welcoming in the Year of the Ox through premier retail experiences hosted by their properties across Metro Vancouver.
By taking advantage of CF’s exclusive offers and interactive digital activations through CF Pacific Centre and CF Richmond Centre, Vancouverites can celebrate the Lunar New Year with the community safely and virtually.
To kick off the festivities, CF will be hosting an Instagram contest from February 12 to 19.
Shoppers are invited to share their favourite Lunar New Year traditions and memories on CF Pacific Centre and CF Richmond Centre’s Instagram pages for a chance to win a CF SHOP! card valued at $888.
The contest pays homage to the number eight, which culturally symbolizes wealth and prosperity and is considered to be a very lucky number in Chinese tradition.

For the first time ever, as part of an exclusive Cadillac Fairview and UnionPay partnership, shoppers at CF Pacific Centre and CF Richmond Centre will be presented with a CF SHOP! card offer when paying with UnionPay.
Available until February 26, shoppers will receive a limited edition unique Lunar New Year card honouring the Year of the Ox. The CF x UnionPay Exclusive Bonus Gift Card Offer works as follows:
- Buy $500 in CF SHOP! cards, get a $20 bonus CF SHOP! card
- Buy $3,000 in CF SHOP! cards, get a $135 bonus CF SHOP! card
- Buy $5,000 in CF SHOP! cards, get a $250 bonus CF SHOP! card

In keeping with CF’s annual themed Lunar New Year tradition, CF Richmond Centre and CF Pacific Centre visitors will be treated to new digital creative highlighting the Year of the Ox.
Digital screens throughout the shopping centres will display educational information and traditions involved with Lunar New Year. These same assets will also be shared on Instagram.
