Grosvenor, known worldwide for crafting thoughtful, high-quality communities, has officially commenced construction on Phase 1 of Brentwood Block—a vibrant 7.9-acre pedestrian-focused masterplan in Burnaby.
To celebrate this groundbreaking milestone, Grosvenor is hosting a block party open to the public—featuring food trucks, market vendors and live music.
The first 150 guests will enjoy complimentary eats from local favourites, including The Mad Greek, Egg Blanket, Tochi, Purebread and Slothfuls. You’ll also be able to browse goods from vendors like Fashionoise Collection, Ollie & Co, Alpaca Studios and Milkie & Co.
The afternoon will feature local entertainment and remarks from Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley and Grosvenor’s leadership team.

Upon completion, Phase 1 of Brentwood Block will feature:
- A 41-storey residential strata tower
- Two rental towers, including below-market rental homes
- A 100,000 square foot Brentwood Community Centre, to be delivered by Grosvenor for the City of Burnaby
- An abundance of green space, including three public plazas
The Brentwood Block development will create a lively neighbourhood grounded in connection, sustainability and thoughtful design featuring over 50,000 square feet of green space, European-style courtyards, carefully curated shops and dining and direct access to the Brentwood SkyTrain Station.
Brentwood Block embodies Grosvenor’s signature dedication to quality design, sustainability and community building—bringing global-level sophistication to this master-plan while seamlessly integrating with the local environment.
