The COVID-19 pandemic has caused much disruption to our way of life, including within the employment sector. With many companies having to make the difficult decision to furlough or lay off their employees, displaced workers are now facing the challenge of regaining job security in an uncertain job market.

Concurrently, companies like Paladin Security have now found themselves in an opportunity of increased hiring demand. As Canada's leading security company, Paladin’s fast-growing team is now looking to hire workers in B.C. seeking new career opportunities in security for essential services, particularly within health care.

As many health care facilities in the province are experiencing increased volumes of patients, there is a critical need for security staffing in hospitals to ensure the safety and well-being of front-line clinical staff and their patients.

To help our courageous health care heroes continue to provide excellent patient care, Paladin is committed to increasing their employee count of security guards and customer service representatives in hospitals across the Lower Mainland and Metro Vancouver.

Full-time health care security professionals are deployed to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors at hospitals. Security officers will gain comprehensive skills and experience in patient care, violence prevention and mitigation, and de-escalation tactics. In addition to extensive security training at no cost, Paladin provides courses for managing aggressive behavior, dealing with people with mental health challenges, conflict resolution, and more. Candidates of all experience levels, as well as those with a keen interest in gaining experience as a security officer, are encouraged to apply. See the security guard job posting for more information.

Full-time and part-time customer service representatives are also in need to provide support at hospitals. Community support representatives are responsible for providing customer service, access control, and wayfinding to patients, staff, and visitors during their shifts. These roles do not require a security license, so candidates with an interest in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment within health care facilities should consider submitting an application. See the customer service job posting for further details.

Security personnel in all positions will be provided with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure personal safety when on the field.

As one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures and voted as one of The Best Places To Work in Canada by their people, Paladin Security is committed to maintaining their solid reputation as a top Canadian employer. Offering the best career development opportunities in their industry, the security firm provides company paid-training, industry leading benefits, and promotion from within opportunities. Career growth is encouraged, with many Paladin employees continuing on to build careers in nursing, social work, and law enforcement.
