Terraces on Seventh

The Terraces on Seventh retirement community in the center of South Granville is a place where Vancouver retirees can find a strong sense of community.

To see why residents proudly call this place home, check out Terraces on Seventh’s Open House event on Sunday, August 21 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The event will give prospective residents and their families the opportunity to learn more about the independent and assisted living options, take a guided tour of the property and facilities, see all of the amenities available to community members, and meet the Terraces’ team and residents.

The residence’s pet-friendly 1- and 2-bedroom suites offer beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. As well, each suite comes equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop, so residents can make their own meals.

Some of the joys of independent living at Terraces includes a community personal chef, weekly housekeeping, and a 24-hour concierge service, allowing residents to spend their energy and time on what they want to do instead of having to do daily chores.

For those who need a little extra support with daily activities, the convenience of having a third-party caregiving company on-site makes life that much easier. They can assist with everything from daily reminders to full nursing support.

In Terraces on Seventh’s beautiful dining room, which overlooks the city and north shore mountains, residents enjoy daily meals prepared by an in-house Red Seal Chef. Fresh and local ingredients are incorporated into the dishes, and individual dietary needs and preferences can be accommodated. Terraces residents are also treated to themed lunches and dinners, aptly titled ‘A Taste of Terraces’, featuring cuisines from around the world every month, along with seasonal and special menu offerings for holidays and special occasions.

The highlight of living at Terraces on Seventh is the sense of community throughout the property, from common area spaces such as the social dining room, rooftop terrace, and movie theatre, to community outings within the South Granville neighbourhood and throughout Metro Vancouver.

To engage the residents’ diverse set of special interests and passions for knowledge, creativity, fun, fitness, and socialization, Terraces offers an endless amount of enriching programs and activities. On a daily basis, residents can experience their shared hobbies together, including fitness classes including yoga, tai chi, musical theatre performances, knitting, baking, board games, discussion groups, and much more.

Residents of Terraces on Seventh are known to take an active role in cultivating a shared sense of community.

Mrs. Joy Gaze, a seasoned community theatre performer, has helped to establish a variety of creative programs, such as talent nights and a charitable knitting group called In Stitches.

Andree Lajoie, sums up the retirement living experience at Terraces perfectly: “There’s so much to do here and such a great group of residents and staff. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!”
