With great weather, challenging courses and enthusiastic spectators, Tour de Delta has become an awesome success story, growing to a $30,000 prize purse and attracting more than 200 cyclists from across Canada, the U.S. and New Zealand.
The spectacular cycling event will return to North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen for three-days of competitive racing and free family entertainment from July 5 - 7, 2019.
Tour de Delta was first introduced to the cycling community in 2001 and has since grown into a huge attraction for pro athletes and cycling fans alike. Now part of BC Superweek (one of the most prestigious pro-cycling events in North America), Tour de Delta has earned a reputation as a premier cycling event complete with world-class athletes and more than enough free family fun.

The Tour de Delta weekend culminates with the grueling White Spot | Delta Road Race; a challenging course that incorporates strength, strategy, precision and endurance. With a strong field of international competitors expected to be racing for UCI points, this is definitely going to be the highlight of the weekend.
Similarly the North Delta and Ladner criterium races will feature plenty of high-speed twists and turns. You can expect to see racers zoom by over 70 times over the course of each race, clocking in at speeds of over 70km/hr!
It’s not all about the racers though, Tour de Delta has plenty of family programming, including two full-blown community celebrations for kids.

The North Delta and South Delta community celebrations that run in conjunction with the races will feature kids activities galore, including face painting, bouncy castles, food, games, obstacle courses and more. The North Delta celebration takes place July 5 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm while the South Delta celebration happens July 7 from 11:00am - 5:00pm. There will also be a free Kids Zone from 3:30pm-6:30pm during the Ladner Criterium on July 6 where kids will have a chance to perfect their bike safety skills, race through an obstacle course and take part in a wide variety of fun, family-friendly activities.
During the 2019 Tour de Delta, children under the age of 16 will also have the opportunity to warm up the criterium courses for the Pros! All bikes in safe, working condition are accepted. Helmets of course, are mandatory.
