This spring, Vancouver Aquarium is celebrating all things coastal with a scavenger hunt, new programming and a special discount for B.C. residents.
Scavenger hunt prizes include personal meet-and-greets with Vancouver Aquarium’s most popular coastal critters. All you’ve got to do is find the hidden envelopes!
From April 18 to May 16, the Vancouver Aquarium will be posting clues on their Twitter feed and Instagram stories, hinting at the location of envelopes hidden throughout the city. The first person to find and post a photo with the envelope on Instagram or Twitter will win a personal animal encounter of their choosing, where they can go behind-the-scenes for a unique, up-close experience.

Lucky winners can pick between meeting sea otters, a sea turtle, penguins, sea lions, or Helen, the Pacific white-sided dolphin. Remember to tag @VanAqua in your photos!
There will be four chances to win over the next four weeks. The city-wide scavenger hunt is part of Vancouver Aquarium’s life on the coast celebration. However, it’s not the only way they’re celebrating...
In addition to the discount, there will be special programs for visitors including feedings of the giant Pacific octopus and lingcod and special programming that highlights the stars of the B.C. coast, including interpretive sessions on sea otters, stellar sea lions and B.C. Waters talks and dives at the two-storey Strait of Georgia.
Until May 16, Vancouver Aquarium, an Ocean Wise initiative, is offering B.C. residents a 15% discount on pre-purchased online admission tickets.
On weekends, visitors can even get hands-on with local intertidal critters, like anemones, sea stars and crabs, in the Wet Lab. Check the daily schedule program times.
