Only one week until Halloween! The Beaumont Studios’ “Tours for the Recently Deceased” will continue to run from October 25 - 31st in Vancouver.

Creepy?

Yes.

Creative?

Definitely!

Scary?

Just the right amount.

Taking place every day this week, Tours for the Recently Deceased will take Vancouverites on an interactive  indoor Halloween tour that features the iconic characters and creations of superstar filmmaker Tim Burton.

As part of the 1 hr walking tour, guests will find their way through a series of eerily lit passageways and Burtonesque rooms, where they will be greeted by a host of familiar Tim Burton characters. You’ll be able to play croquet with the Queen of Hearts, witness a mock wedding with the Corpse Bridge and event get a “haircut” from Edward Scissorhands himself.

The event offers an extraordinarily creative take on the Halloween season, favouring surrealism and wonder over guts and gore. That said, there are still plenty of opportunities to be scared… just the right amount.

Proceeds from Tours for the Recently Deceased will go directly to supporting The Beaumont Studios, who serve as an important hub for Vancouver’s creative community. The Beaumont is home to over 100 resident artists, 40 private studios, an event space, art gallery, and a unique artist-run thrift store.

At the end of the tour,  guests will find themselves in the Grand Hall, where MC Beetlejuice will keep the afterlife afterparty in full swing with music and cocktails. You can receive a free appetizer before or after your tour, with a purchase of a spicy Betelgeuse cocktail at Tacofino Ocho, located just down the street at 5th Avenue and Ontario. Just remember to bring your ticket with you!
