B.C.'s ski mountains are getting geared up for an epic winter season... and you should be too!

The Vancouver Winter Extreme Ski & Board Swap is back after last year's event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Abbotsford Swap still won’t be happening this year. So for two days only, the Vancouver event will be the largest event of its kind in Western Canada, and will be returning to the PNE Forum Building on October 16 and 17.

Skiers and snowboarders of all levels can take advantage of massive savings on thousands of new and gently-used skis, snowboards, outerwear, and other winter gear at the swap. Everyone in attendance can get up to 80% off retail prices, plus another 25% off on Red Tags during the Sunday sale on the 17th, on over a million dollars worth of inventory.

During the swap event, you can visit the Big White Ski Resort Booth to enter for your chance to win a 2-nights luxury skiing getaway for 2.

Want to sell your current gear? If you have gently-used skis (downhill or nordic), snowboards, boots, and other gear that you’re no longer planning to use, you can bring them to the venue before the event on Friday, October 15. Learn more about consigning HERE.

The majority of the gear being sold consists of unused stock from the previous ski season. Since the event is all about improving safety on our local mountains, all consigned gear is inspected for safety before being placed on the sales floor.

Proceeds from the swap event, and the 50/50 draw, will support the local volunteer first aid and rescue services provided by the members of the Canadian Ski Patrol at Mount Seymour, Cypress Mountain, Manning Park Resort, and Sasquatch Mountain, so they can continue to keep our mountains safe all season long.

Proof of vaccination for those 12 and over is required. Masks must be worn at all times inside the event. Admission fees are $10 for families, $5 for adults, $2 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and under and are good for the whole weekend (wristbands will be provided).
