With ski and snowboard season right around the corner, you only have a few weeks to prepare for another season on your favourite local mountain. Fortunately, the Canadian Ski Patrol just announced the return of their truly epic annual winter gear sale.
Happening October 14 - 15 at the PNE Forum in Vancouver and November 18 - 19 at the AG-Rec Building in Abbotsford, the Canadian Ski Patrol's annual Winter Extreme Ski & Board Swap will feature over $1 million in gently used and new gear all available at better-than-sale prices.
Skiers and snowboarders can take advantage of massive savings on thousands of winter sports essentials, including skis, snowboards, outerwear, bindings, boots, and other winter gear. The gear, sold on consignment, consists mostly of unused stock from past seasons, sometimes reduced by as much as 80% from its original price tag.
And if you’re not in the mood to buy, you may want to consider selling. Public consignees will receive their cheques and unsold gear after the event. All gear will be inspected for safety before being placed on the floor.
Safety, of course, is what this event is all about, as 100% of proceeds from each event will go to support the Canadian Ski Patrol, a non-profit charitable organization that provides volunteer first aid and rescue services to the ski industry and other outdoor events at all our favourite local mountains, including Mount Seymour, Cypress Mountain, Manning Park Resort, and Sasquatch Mountain. Funds from this event go directly towards volunteer training, first aid supplies, rescue equipment, and day-to-day operation expenses.
So come down and buy a jacket to keep you warm on the slopes, supporting those who keep us safe on the mountains! Trust us, you won’t find deals like this again… until next year that is.
