Zipping around town on an ebike has so many benefits. It’s eco-friendly, cost-effective, a great form of exercise, and the list goes on!

Since launching in March 2022, Zygg Mobility’s full service electric bike subscription service has allowed riding an electric bike in the bike-friendly city of Vancouver to be more accessible and affordable to the mass population.

Now, Zygg has expanded its home delivery and servicing to more cities across Metro Vancouver, including North Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and Richmond.

As the first of its kind in Canada, the ebike subscription company makes it both easy and fun to ride an electric bike for both personal and work-related purposes. Through this unique subscription-based model, riders can choose the ebike that works for them and sign up for flexible plans that include repairs and maintenance, at-home delivery and service, theft and damage protection, and more

Weekly and monthly rentals for personal riders are available starting at $49 per week or $99 per month and include unlimited kilometers, a secure 2-part locking system, an ebike charger, and other features.

In addition to riding for commuting and recreational usages, a delivery gig plan is available to delivery riders and couriers, with subscription prices beginning at $54 per week or $129 per month.

Currently, Zygg offers four models of bikes for personal riders and delivery riders — Model Qx for personal riders, Model Qx for delivery riders, and Model Q2 and Model R for delivery riders.

The standard Qx model weighs 22.5kg and features a range of 55-70km, a maximum speed of 32km per hr, and 5 levels of pedal assist. The ebike includes 9 speed gears, integrated lights, and a removable battery with a charge time of 3-4 hours.

As part of Zygg’s Zyggcare offering, free maintenance and servicing are included in every subscription and are available both at-home and at their shop. Whenever you need your ebike to be fixed, the Zygg team will take care of your request within 24 hours. They can look after the normal wear and tear that occurs with riding a bike, such as flat tires and fixes on damages on brakes, gears, and motors as caused from everyday riding on paved roads and paths.

For added convenience, Zygg users can either pick up their e-bike from Zygg’s HQ or arrange a delivery right to the door of their home or business.

Before committing to a week-by-week or month-to-month subscription, users can take a Zygg ebike out for a roll with a test ride in the Railtown district or at Van City Bikes at Waterfront Station.
