Here's another gem of an 80's video appropriated from The Buzzer Blog today (check videos 1 and 2 that we recently yanked from them). It's from 1984 and it talks about rapid transit and Vancouver's Future with a capital F. Rapid transit is still going strong but one thing that's missing from the Future we live in right now is ladies like the ones pictured below beaming and cheering for the camera at press conferences. Whatever happened to that? It seems like every 80's doc regarding provincial infrastructure has at least one shot like this.

Also, as an aside, another thing to note in this clip is the filmmaker's use of the classic Police Squad siren shot made popular a couple of years before this video came out. Rest In Peace, Lesley Nielsen!
