B.C. Interior motorists travelling over the mountain passes tonight should expect snow.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for a cold upper trough moving through the province Thursday night that should result in snow at high elevations.

“Flurries are expected above 1,300-1,500 metre elevation, however flurries could briefly descend lower during periods of intense flurry activity,” the advisory says.
Most Southern Interior highway passes are expected to receive about two to five centimetres of wet snow overnight through Friday morning, with up to 10 centimetres possible over the Okanagan Connector.
“Precipitation will change back to rain on Friday as the air mass begins to warm,” Environment Canada says.
