Find out how to get the cheapest flights from Vancouver on Central Mountain Air by shopping around and using the Google Flights price calendar.

Central Mountain Air flights from B.C.'s biggest airport connect travellers to cities across the province -- but not all tickets are created equal.

While the Western B.C.-based airline offers a couple of affordable options for local flights, other routes may cost much more than they do with other carriers.

Travel between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Campbell River Airport (YBL) is a steal with the small carrier, with return trips starting for just over $270 with all taxes and fees. Pacific Coastal Airlines' prices cost just slightly more, with prices just under $300.

Air Canada offers the next best option, with prices climbing just over $350 for return trips.

On the route connecting YVR and Williams Lake Regional Airport (YWL), Pacific Coastal Airlines offers a lower price, with return trips starting for under $350. CMA's prices typically cost about $100 more.

Travellers from YVR to the Quesnel Airport (YQZ) may only travel with Central Mountain. Return trips start at just over $450 and fly every day except Sunday.

Comparing Central Mountain Air flights with other competitors

Travellers from YVR can also enjoy twice-weekly service on Sundays and Wednesdays to Northern Rockies Regional Airport (YYE) in Fort Nelson. Prices on the route are steep, however, with tickets starting at over $950 round-trip throughout the fall and the start of winter. However, these sky-high prices are on par with the ones offered by other airlines.

Central Mountain may not be the ideal choice for flights between YVR and Kelowna International Airport (YLW), with return trips starting at over $300. In contrast, Flair Airlines round-trip tickets start at as little as $48. Multiple other airlines offer better deals.

While CMA isn't as cheap as Air Canada or WestJet on the Prince George or Terrace routes, it offers an alternative for travellers who don't want to book with large airlines.

Central Mountain also flies to Edmonton but prices tend to cost substantially more than with other airlines.
