You can sail on a lavish cruise from Vancouver to the Hawaiian islands at a steal

Say "aloha" to a great deal that includes accommodation, meals, and entertainment on a five-star ship.

Metro Vancouverites can enjoy a Hawaiian cruise without taking a single flight.

Travellers keen on exploring multiple Hawaiian islands at a bargain price can sail across the Pacific from Vancouver on a five-star ship late this summer.

Princess Cruises makes a couple of round-trip Vancouver sailings to Hawaii this year, with the first departing from the Canada Place cruise terminal on Sunday, April 14.

The return Vancouver-Hawaii option is one of the most popular sailings of the year and the spring sailing has already sold out. However, a second round-trip Hawaiian cruise with Princess that departs on Tuesday, Sept. 10, has space available in all categories.

After departing from Vancouver, the ship spends five nights at sea before sailing into Lahaina, Maui on Monday, Sept. 16. It makes a second stop in Nawiliwili, Kauai on Tuesday, Sept. 17 before stopping in Hilo, Hawaii on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The cruise makes a final stop in Honolulu, Oahu on Thursday, Sept. 19 before sailing back to Vancouver.

The sailing will take another five days to cross the Pacific before it disembarks in Canada Place on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The five-star Ruby Princess has four pools, mini-golf, renowned spa treatments, a disco, movies under the stars, tennis and much more.

Round-trip cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii with Princess

An interior stateroom for two people costs $4,121.23, which breaks down to $2,060.66 per person including all taxes and fees. This price is roughly $128.79 per diem, per person for the 16-day sailing.

Not only does that cost include your transportation on a beautiful five-star vessel, but it also includes meals, entertainment, snacks, and lodging. The only thing it doesn’t factor in is alcohol, but you may opt to purchase a drink package that can reduce the cost of your spending.

Princess is also offering up to 35 per cent off select room categories and the third and fourth guests will sail free.

Travellers who visit Hawaii can expect to pay at least $200 a night for comparable accommodation alone. Also, grocery prices have surged in the Aloha State and restaurant prices have increased significantly.
