While many Vancouverites vacation in Varadero when they visit Cuba, Havana offers a spell-binding travel experience that is hard to beat.
Indeed, the urban centre offers a rich history, vibrant nightlife, and plenty of things to see and do. What's more, you'll feel like you've travelled back in time when you step into Old Havana, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. The streets are lined with brightly-coloured buildings and vintage cars, and the city was founded by the Spanish in 1519. As such, it resembles the Spanish cities of Cadiz and Tenerife, and offers a breathtaking avenue that runs along the seawall.
Mytrip offers an incredibly low fare to the Cuban city for a total of $309.97 CAD including taxes and fees. The flight departs on Wednesday, Feb. 26 and returns on Monday, Mar. 9. A return ticket for those same dates can cost over double the price: Air Canada offers a number of flights during the same travel period for over $900 CAD.
If these dates don't work, there are a few other options in February and March that offer a similar price. Simply use the Skyscanner price calendar to chose the days that offer the lowest fares.
