While it is one of the most iconic destinations in the world, flights to London aren't always affordable from the Lower Mainland.

Tickets to England's capital city usually cost around $1000 CAD return. However, Icelandair is offering a number of tickets to the world-class destination for almost half of the regular ticket price.

For example, the flight below departs Vancouver on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 3:35 p.m. and has one stopover in Reykjavik, Iceland. On the return, the flight departs London a week later on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 9:40 p.m. There is also a stopover in Reykjavik on the way home, but this stopover affords enough time to explore some of the city. Also, the airline offers tickets that include multi-day stopovers in its hub city for the same price, which allows travellers to enjoy two destinations for the price of one.

The total cost, including all taxes and fees, comes to $570.90 CAD.
