Locals looking to have an Emily in Paris moment in 2023 should book their tickets outside of peak tourist season.
There are numerous flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) for under $800 round-trip this spring.
While they may involve one or more stops, travellers have some significant flexibility through the spring months when the weather warms up in the "City of Lights."
Starting on April 17 and carrying on through June 15, prices on round-trip Vancouver fights to Paris start for as little as $765 including all taxes and fees. The majority of the cheaper tickets are with WestJet.
For example, a flight that departs Vancouver on May 8 and returns on May 23 costs $764.23 including all taxes and fees. There are a couple of stops on the outbound journey but only one on the way home.
This price is roughly $468 lower than the average price for a flight to Paris, as tickets generally cost between $910 and $1,750, according to Google Flights.
