The B.C. Day long weekend is here and if you don't already have plans here are a few ideas about how to enjoy the next couple of days in Vancouver.

The final night of the festival will give South Korea a chance to shine with fireworks over English Bay at 10 p.m. on Saturday August 4.

South Korea follows South Africa and Sweden's performances on July 28 and August 1.

Pre-show events include music at the Second Beach Park Stage from 2 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. and the Red Bull Air Show divers take to the skies at 7:45 p.m.

Experience Japanese culture at The Powell Street Festival all weekend

The 42nd annual Powell Street Festival runs from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday August 4 and Sunday August 5 in Oppenheimer Park.

Watch a variety of martial arts demonstrations, live music and dance performances. There is a children's tent offering a variety of activities for kids to try including origami, tug-of-war and a watermelon game.

Catch artist talks and panels, watch films at the Firehall Theatre and listen to authors read from their work. There will be visual arts on display, a calligraphy performance, plus food and craft vendors.

Celebrate love at the 40th annual Pride Parade on Sunday

Celebrate and be proud to love whomever you choose to love at the Pride Parade from noon until 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 5. Floats start at the intersection of Thurlow and Robson Streets.

After the parade the party continues at the Sunset Beach Festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dance all day beside the water to tunes from local musicians. There are dance lessons available for those that need them from Dance in Transit or you can play frisbee with the Rain City Ultimate Club.

If you're an anime and/or video game fan this is an event you won't want to miss.

There will be a series of gaming tournaments, autograph sessions with special guests, vendor hall, fashion shows, cosplay events, photo booth and a Saturday night dance party.

Anime Revolution or Anirevo for short, runs all weekend at the Vancouver Convention Centre starting on Friday afternoon until the closing ceremonies at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Support local artists at the Strathcona Artisan Market

The 2nd annual Strathcona Artisan Market (SAM) features 40 vendors selling a variety of handmade goods made by low-income residents in the Downtown Eastside and Strathcona neighbourhoods.

The market offers textiles, ceramics, visual art, food, face painting and crafts for kids plus four vendor-led workshops that give attendees the chance to learn how they create their work. There will be a busker stage with capacity for 23 local performers.

SAM will take place on August 4 and 5 in the 400 block of Princess Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
