The Warner Brothers TV series “Batwoman” will be filming a couple of times in the City of New Westminster this week.

A resident notification letter from Renraw Production Services states that filming will take place at 777 Columbia Street (Anvil Centre), as well as 48 Begbie Street.

A small crew will be onsite Tuesday, Jan. 19 to begin setting up, and filming is slated to begin the following morning until midnight. The scene calls for interior dialogue as well as "fight scenes in the parkade with exposed weapons."

The company adds that the New Westminster Police will be on-site for the exposed weapons and safety.

Later on, the crew will move to 48 Begbie Street to film an exterior scene. Police will assist with intermittent traffic control from Carnarvon Street to Clarkson Street.

The resident notification letter was shared on Twitter by @DeanMachine16 over the weekend.

Filming is slated to commence again the following week on Tuesday, Jan. 26 on Columbia Street. The scene calls for more interior dialogue as well as "fight scenes with exposed weapons in the parkade."

New Westminster Police will be also on-site again for the exposed weapons and safety.

The company notes that while there will be no gunfire, atmospheric smoke will be used.

The TV show filmed in the same area in New Westminster last year, too.
